Before joining Gobi, Hisham co-founded Amsara, a blockchain company focused on tokenising real-world assets (RWA). He previously worked at Baring Private Equity Asia (now part of EQT Partners), where he managed private equity and growth investments across Southeast Asia and the broader Asia-Pacific region. His transaction experience includes the US$1.6 billion sale of precision manufacturer Interplex to Blackstone.

Hisham also served as Senior Portfolio Manager at Bank Negara Malaysia, overseeing the central bank’s equity, corporate bond, and outsourced portfolios across emerging and developed Asia, the United States, and Europe. Earlier in his career, he held roles at ADV Partners, Navis Capital Partners, PwC, and the Strategic Investment Group.

Hisham holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management and a BSBA from Georgetown University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
