Fred has over 13 years of experience across private market transactions, management operations, and corporate turnarounds, drawing on a hybrid background as both an investor and former General Manager. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance, and is a Certified Public Accountant (Hong Kong) and Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA).

Fred began his career in restructuring advisory at Deloitte. He then gained full-cycle deal experience and served on the boards of portfolio companies through roles at several venture capital and private equity firms, including Senior Associate at Ocean Equity Partners (MFO), Vice President at CITIC’s CLSA Capital Partners, and Executive Director at Hywin International.

He later moved into operating leadership as Group General Manager at Gaia Group, a 1,000-person organisation from his previous portfolio, where he led business management, turnaround execution, and digital transformation initiatives.

Fred has extensive experience across technology and business strategy, with a focus on university spin-offs, healthcare and biotechnology, AI+, and GreenTech. He also contributes actively to the innovation ecosystem as a lecturer, advisor, vetting panellist, trainer, and mentor for partners across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Singapore.
